Submitted for your reprisal: Insert Cartridge
March 18, 2007
There are two things you can probably guess about me. First, I like parody. I guess a lot of times it’s not so much parody as just plain mimickry, to see how close I can get.
And second, sometimes I make something and then I forget all about it. I had once intended to see if I could make as generic a gaming comic as possible, and find out if it would succeed by just ripping off every other gaming comic out there. So I did like twenty strips as fast as I could, cribbing from every gaming comic convention out there. I even built a site for it and concocted a fake handle for the cartoonist.
Then I forgot about it.
I remembered it tonight. The last couple strips were submitted by David Willis, Paul Southworth and if I remember correctly, Howard Tayler. Here it is in all its shameless ripoff conniving glory: Insert Cartridge.
Have you no shame, sirrah? I certainly hope not. Where’s the rest?
Hi! nice site!
The FAQ made me feel ill. I’m trying to forget about it now.
I changed my mind.
THAT was the greatest thing I have ever read on the internet.
