Finally, a book about how to make Webcomics from guys who actually know how to do it!
For years, young, creative men and women have dreamed about making a living from their comic strips. But until recently their only avenue of success was through a syndicate or publisher. Now, more and more cartoonists are doing it on their own and self-publishing their comic strips on the web. With the right amount of work, knowledge and luck, you can be one of them.
Dave Kellett (Sheldon), Brad Guigar (Evil Inc.), Kris Straub (Starslip Crisis), and Scott Kurtz (PvP) take you on a guided tour of everything you need to know to make, post and profit from your own online comics with this 200-page book from Image Comics.
Out of curiosity, where can I order this book to ensure you guys get the biggest possible slice of the pie, as it were?
From any one of the four stores — and thanks for asking, that’s nice of you!
(…it doesn’t matter which of the stores you order from, by the way, we’re splitting it all up even-Steven.)
Awwwwww Darn you guys. I have all ready pre-ordered the book off of amazon.com, that wont affect the amount of profit you will receive will it?
Cool, gonna pre-order.
Though I’m not entirely sure about the ‘aritst’ edition from PVP Online.
But I’m sure it’ll be cool.
I was wondering when this book is coming to Canada? it might have already and I just wouldn’t know cause it’s no where in my home city.
I recently purchased this book and got hooked. I stopped drawing until I was finished reading. It really gave me a boost to continue my goal towards doing comics. I am a fan of your work, and I am glad you guys didn’t fill the book with crap but extremely useful information. When I see a ‘how to’ on a cover i usually keep walking, but this book really teaches you something and motivates. Thank you.
